Contribution License Agreement

1. Introduction

This Contribution License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your submission of content to Quarlo Software LLC ("Quarlo," "we," "us," or "our") through our community contribution features. By submitting any content, you agree to the terms below.

"Contributions" include interview questions, interview experiences, salary information, company insights, tips, and any other content you voluntarily submit to Quarlo's community knowledge base.

2. License Grant

• Use and reproduce your Contribution in connection with the Services
• Modify and create derivative works from your Contribution, including editing for clarity, formatting, and combining with other content
• Publicly display and distribute your Contribution to other users of the Services
• Create vector embeddings and other machine-readable representations of your Contribution for search, recommendations, and AI features
• Sublicense your Contribution to partner educational institutions for use by their students and staff
• Use for analytics and research including aggregate statistics about interview trends, salary ranges, and hiring practices

3. Anonymity

Your Contributions will not be publicly associated with your name, email, or account. Other users will see the content of your Contribution but not your identity.

However, we may internally associate Contributions with your account for:

• Awarding points and reputation in your account
• Preventing duplicate or spam submissions
• Responding to legal requests if required by law
• Investigating violations of our Terms of Service

4. Your Representations and Warranties

By submitting a Contribution, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content or have the right to submit it and grant the licenses described in this Agreement
• The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and based on your genuine experience
• The content does not violate any NDA, confidentiality agreement, trade secret, or other legal obligation you have to any third party
• The content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right of any third party
• The content is not defamatory, libelous, or intended to harm any person or company's reputation through false statements
• The content does not contain personal information about other individuals without their consent

5. Confidential Information Warning

You are solely responsible for ensuring your Contributions do not violate any NDAs or confidentiality obligations. Quarlo is not liable for any consequences you may face from sharing NDA-protected information.

6. Content Removal

While the license you grant is perpetual and irrevocable, you may request removal of your Contribution by contacting us at support@quarlo.co.

Upon receiving a valid removal request, we will:

• Remove the Contribution from public display within 30 days
• Remove the association between the Contribution and your account

However, please note that:

• Anonymized or aggregated data derived from your Contribution (such as salary statistics or interview trend data) may be retained
• Vector embeddings and machine learning models trained on your Contribution may continue to reflect that content
• Cached copies may persist in search engines or third-party systems beyond our control
• Partner institutions who received your Contribution may retain their copies per their data retention policies

7. Content Moderation

Quarlo reserves the right to:

• Review and moderate Contributions before or after they are published
• Remove or edit Contributions that violate our Terms of Service, this Agreement, or applicable law
• Suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly submit prohibited content
• Cooperate with legal authorities if Contributions are the subject of legal complaints or investigations

8. No Compensation

Contributions are voluntary. You will not receive monetary compensation for your Contributions. The only benefits you may receive are:

• Points and reputation within the Quarlo platform
• Recognition badges and tier status
• The satisfaction of helping fellow job seekers

9. Copyright Complaints

If you believe a Contribution infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to legal@quarlo.co with:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Identification of the infringing Contribution (URL if possible)
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate
• Your physical or electronic signature

10. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued submission of Contributions after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement. Material changes will be announced via email or prominent notice on the platform.
